Because of that, I want to move up a topic that I originally planned to write about later, but which I find important right now due to several recent incidents. So I\u2019d like to tell you a small, surface-level story.<br \/>There are people (or rather, pups) who have really gotten on my nerves over the years. And I mean really badly. There are people I\u2019ve seriously clashed with, where things ended in arguments or with harsh words.<\/p><p>But sometimes\u2014earlier or later\u2014I then experienced these people in unusual moments. For example, they\u2019re sitting alone, even though they\u2019re usually surrounded by others. Or they look as gloomy as a hundred days of rain, even though they\u2019re normally cheerful. A ray of sunshine, as a friend would say.<br \/>Or a person who suddenly seems overexcited, even though they\u2019re usually rather quiet. And many other possible situations. So what do you do then?<\/p><p>Many people I know would probably just shrug and continue living their lives. And yes, by now there are also individuals where I do exactly that. Mostly because I tried to help them more than once\u2014and if there is zero self-reflection, at some point I give up too.<br \/>But should it be that way? No. Depending on the situation, I either approach the person directly or at least follow up later, for example via messenger, and see what\u2019s going on.<\/p><p>And you\u2019d be surprised how open people are when they realize: \u201cWow. Someone is interested in me!\u201d Even if you don\u2019t get along, people\u2014especially when they\u2019re not doing well\u2014gratefully accept attention. Particularly when it\u2019s genuine. Often, a short conversation is enough to lift someone\u2019s mood.<br \/>In my opinion, there are far too few people who pay attention to their surroundings. We often see individuals sitting alone in a corner but don\u2019t really notice them. And I wish that would change.<\/p><p>As the title already says, we don\u2019t all have to like each other. Let alone love each other. But we can still give attention to people who aren\u2019t doing well. We can look out for one another and make sure worse things don\u2019t happen. <br \/>Being ignored when you\u2019re already struggling can easily lead into a downward spiral.<\/p><p>Of course, we can\u2019t be there for everyone. And we may not always be willing to help. Our help won\u2019t always be received positively. And sometimes we simply misjudge whether someone needs attention or support.<br \/>But I still believe that if we all became a bit more considerate\u2014regardless of whether we know or like someone\u2014and approached each other more, we could make the community a better place.<\/p><p>Paw in paw.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c89e764 elementor-alert-info elementor-widget elementor-widget-alert\" data-id=\"c89e764\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"alert.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-alert\" role=\"alert\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-alert-title\">Helping Box<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-alert-description\">There is an increasing amount of body shaming and death threats within the community. Don\u2019t let them stand unchallenged. Even if they come from fake profiles that are deleted after sending the message, they can still be prosecuted under criminal law.
