Avaritia - Greed<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Avaritia is often misunderstood. Greed is not the classic \u2018more, more, more\u2019, but rather holding on out of fear of having nothing left at some point.<\/p>

This category is not (only) about money or possessions, but (also) about emotional resources: attention, closeness, validation, security.<\/p>

Greed arises where there was scarcity \u2014 real scarcity, not imagined scarcity. Anyone who has ever experienced the loss of something important develops the need to secure, control and hold on to it.

In den Texten dieser Kategorie geht es genau darum: um das klammernde Gef\u00fchl, das entsteht, wenn Unsicherheit die Oberhand gewinnt. Um Situationen, in denen man mehr wollte, nicht weil man gierig war, sondern weil man Angst hatte, dass es nicht reicht.<\/p>

Avaritia reveals this inner constriction, in which one desperately protects something that is barely tangible.
These contributions soberly identify when holding on was sensible, when it became destructive and where it actually arose from helplessness. It is a category of honesty: not self-reproach, but a clear recognition of the fear of loss \u2014 and how this develops into behaviour that seems harsher than it was intended.<\/p>

Avaritia is the space in which one can reveal how the need for security takes over, how one could not \u2018let go\u2019 of people or situations, how one sought control to dampen the inner emptiness. The point here is to understand the pattern, not to judge it.<\/p>

I deal with this because \u2018control over resources\u2019 is often a substitute for security for me. Greed is rarely only material, but also emotional: the feeling of missing out. I want to see the mechanics behind it so that it doesn't control me in the background.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
